I have 19 years of experience as a psychotherapist, clinical supervisor, researcher, and educator. I have practiced in academic hospitals, universities, clinics, and in private practice.
Beyond my clinical work, I am an associate professor with tenure at the Graduate School of Social Work and Social Research at Bryn Mawr College. My research and writing has appeared in flagship academic journals across social work, sociology, and psychology. I have also published guest essays in the New York Times, Slate, and Time. I completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the Bronfenbrenner Center for Translational Research at Cornell University and was a 2024 Visitor at the School of Social Science at the Institute for Advanced Study in Princeton, NJ. I am currently a candidate at New York University’s Postdoctoral Program in Psychoanalysis. Outside of practice and scholarship, I have strong interests in literature and philosophy. I balance my time between New York City and Philadelphia.
